South West Investment Group Services (SWIG)

 

SWIG provides finance throughout the region, including Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, from offices in Truro and Exeter. Finance is available throughout the region for start-ups to established SMEs, with most sectors considered for support providing there is no direct displacement of existing business. Sums of up to £50,000 are available, depending on business size and location.

Bristol Enterprise Development Fund (BEDF)

 

BEDF offers loan finance to start or expand your business throughout Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath & North East Somerset and North Somerset. We can provide loans to sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and social enterprises. We lend up to £7,500 for business start-up and up to £15,000 for existing business growth and development. We offer favourable rates of interest for unsecured lending and may provide a business mentor to help you in the first year of the loan.

CEED

 
The CEED Enterprise can offer a wide range of support services to accommodate your business needs. We have a team of expert advisers on hand to help with all aspects of business support & development to help turn your idea into a real business venture. We cover the whole of Bristol and surrounding areas. We lend up to £5,000 for new business and up to £10,000 for growth and expansion of an existing business. Higher amounts may be considered in certain circumstances.

Enterprise Plymouth Limited (EPL)
 
The Plymouth Small Business Fund, administered from EPL's Stoke office, provides finance to new and small businesses situated within the Plymouth City boundary. Loans of up to £5,000 are available. Higher amounts may be considered in certain circumstances. EPL also provides a Business Care Programme as ‘back up’ once your business has become established.

Fredericks Foundation Gloucestershire
In the short term, Fredericks Gloucestershire wants to give people the opportunity to make a positive change in their lives, while its long-term aim is to provide funding for businesses and social enterprises that will improve their communities and help work towards economic development and regeneration across the county. Sums of up to £10,000 are available for new and existing businesses although higher amounts may be considered in certain circumstances. 
 
Fredericks Foundation Wessex 
Fredericks Foundation is a social enterprise organisation which has been set up to help rural communities become more sustainable. We provide finance to individuals, companies and social enterprises in Devon, Dorset and Somerset. Our priority sectors are food, environment, and creative arts. We also provide loans to social enterprises in any sector. Sums of up to £10,000 are available for new and existing businesses although higher amounts may be considered in certain circumstances.
